Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Insider Behavior LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit www.insiderbehavior.com (the “Site”) or subscribe to the Insider Intelligence weekly brief (the “Service”).
1. Who we are
Insider Behavior LLC is a Washington-based limited liability company that publishes the Insider Intelligence weekly brief — a research summary built from public SEC Form 4 insider filings. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner.
2. What we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — when you subscribe to the weekly brief or contact us. Subscription is handled by our email service provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit).
- Optional information you choose to share when contacting us (e.g., your name, message contents).
Information collected automatically
- Server and access logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs basic request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes.
- Email engagement data — Kit reports whether emails were delivered, opened, or had links clicked.
- Analytics — we may, in the future, use a privacy-respecting analytics provider to understand how visitors use the Site (page views, referrers, approximate location). If we add this, we will update this policy and disclose the provider.
3. How we use your data
- To send you the weekly brief and any subscriber-only communications you opted into.
- To respond to your inquiries.
- To monitor and improve the Site and Service.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train machine-learning models. We do not share your email address with advertisers.
4. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of vendors to operate the Service:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — email subscription management and delivery. Their privacy practices: kit.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting (Cloudflare Pages) and content delivery. Their privacy practices: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
These vendors process your data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose vendors that meet reasonable security and privacy standards, but we are not responsible for their independent practices.
5. Cookies & tracking
Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies (e.g., for bot mitigation and security). We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If we add analytics in the future, we will use a provider that does not require advertising cookies and will disclose it here.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Unsubscribe from emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or by emailing us.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@insiderbehavior.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. EU/UK residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing your personal data are: (a) your consent (when you subscribe), (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, and (c) compliance with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Privacy Rights Act. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@insiderbehavior.com.
9. Data retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the brief, and for a reasonable period after you unsubscribe to honor your unsubscribe preference and to comply with legal obligations. Server logs are retained per Cloudflare’s standard retention windows.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data — including HTTPS in transit, vendor selection with security standards in mind, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the Site or, where appropriate, via email.
